Angul: A leopard has fallen into the trap in the Angul district of Odisha. The big cat, locally known as Kalarapataria Bagha was trapped near Dimiripal village in Karatapata section of Angul forest Division.
As per information, the trap was laid in the village to hunt the animal. The leopard fell into it and was struggling to get out, roaring in distress.
Terrified locals kept a safe distance. The leopard was rescued from the cage after being anaesthetized and is currently being kept at Kulasingha nursery. It will be released into the forest once its health improves, according to forest officials.
