Bhubaneswar: Odisha is shivering under bone-chilling cold wave as the minimum temperature has dropped below 5 degrees Celcius at various places. The Upper Barakamuda area within Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj has become the coldest place with temperature recorded at 2 Degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the temperature has dropped to 5 Degrees Celsius, 6 degrees in Gudgudia, 7 degrees in Bareipani.
Yesterday, the temperature dropped below 10 degress in 10 cities of Odisha. The minimum night temperature at G.Udayagiri in Kandhamal district was 4.4° Celsius.
The minimum temperature in most places of north interior Odisha is about 5 to 6 degrees Celsius below normal. In south coastal Odisha, the temperature is 4 degrees below normal. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for cold wave in four districts of Angul, Khurda, Jharsuguda and Jagatsinghpur today.
