BHUBANESWAR: In a major boost to intra-state air connectivity in Odisha, Star Air has announced the launch of a new direct flight route between Bhubaneswar (BBI) and Jharsuguda (JRG), effective August 16, 2025. With this addition, Bhubaneswar becomes the 26th destination in the expanding Star Air network.
To mark the launch, the airline is offering introductory promotional fares starting at ₹1599 for Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda, and ₹1699 for the return leg. This new route is poised to significantly reduce travel time between Odisha’s capital and its industrial heartland, fostering improved regional mobility and economic growth. While Bhubaneswar is recognized as a key hub for administration, education, and IT, Jharsuguda hosts major industrial operations in coal, aluminum, and thermal power.
