Bangiriposi: In a tragic accident, a truck driver lost balance and rammed into a fruit shop in Bambe square bazar under Jharapokharia police station under Bangiriposi of Mayurbhanj district last night. The accident claimed the life of one person while injuring four others.
The deceased has been identified as Susmita Mohanty.
According to information, the truck driver lost balance and rammed into over 7 shops on the side of the road. One woman died while several have been injured.
Goods worth lakhs of rupees have been destroyed due to the accident. As many as three people have been injured in a critical condition while has been rushed to Cuttack SCB.
The truck driver finding an opportunity fled the scene. The police reached the spot and started an investigation.
The police is enquiring the locals and has seized the truck.
