Three teachers including Headmaster of school in Gajapati suspended for group clash

 Gajapati: In a disciplinary action against group clash, as many as three teachers were suspended. The teachers of Upper Primary school in Machamara under Goshani block Gajapati district have been subject to a disciplinary action for engaging in violence from a group clash.


The suspended teachers have been identified as the Headmaster Prafulla Rath and the two teachers are B.Rajasekharan and S. Jaya Rao.

According to information, two teachers had a minor argument, soon their group members joined in and the altercation escalated into a major group clash.

As the teachers engaged in the fight, the parents and the rushed to the school. The locked the doors of the school and sat in protest demanding disciplinary action against these teachers.

As a result the Block Education Officer (BEO) issued an order suspending the three teachers and the Headmaster involved in the group clash. They have been asked to be present in the office of the Block Education Officer, Goshani till further notice.

While teachers are meant to solve the clashes between students and show them the right path, the action of these teachers has been criticised. The parents of the students and the locals had demanded disciplinary action against the teachers.

The locals have thanked the BEO for suspending and taking stringent against the violence and group clash among the teachers.

A local said, “The teachers are supposed to build the future of our student, but they engage in group clash and set a very negative example for our children. We are thankful that the BEO suspended the concerned teachers.”
