Greater Noida: In a shocking incident, a mother and her 11-year old specially-abled son jumped from the 13th floor of their apartment. The incident occurred at the Ace City Society in Greater Noida (West).
According to the reports, the family had been living in that locality for some years. Around 10 pm, after the residents from the society heard a loud scream and soon found the two lying on the ground.
Further, police reached the spot quickly and sent the bodies for postmortem. Inside the flat, officers found a note written by the woman.
In the note, she reportedly apologized to her husband and stated that they did not want to trouble him anymore. She also requested that nobody should be blamed for their deaths.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the boy had been suffering from a serious mental illness for a long time and was fully dependent on regular medicines.
The parents had consulted many doctors and even sought blessings at religious places but his health did not improve. Neighbors also said the mother often appeared worried and spoke about how difficult life had become for her.
On the morning of the incident, after giving her son his medicine, the mother reportedly took him to balcony. Moments later, both jumped leaving the entire society in shock.
Police stated that further investigation is in progress.
