Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident, 2 dead after a tractor and trolley carrying devotees overturned during Durga idol immersion in Chambal river, Ujjain.
According to the reports, a group of around 12 people, including young men and children had gone for the immersion ceremony.
During the process, the tractor and trolley lost balance and slipped into the river. Out of 12 people on board, 8 managed to escape safely.
Further, 2 people reportedly lost their lives in the incident, while 4 other sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Ujjain ASP Abhishek Ranjan stated, “…Some young people and children came for the immersion of Mata ji, and suddenly, the trolley and tractor both fell into the river, due to which out of 12 people in the trolley, 8 people came out and 4 have been taken to the hospital.
He then added, “2 have lost their lives…I pray that the injured become healthy soon…Everyone reached here immediately…”
