Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for dense fog for three districts of Odisha. The yellow alert has been issued for Sundargarh, Koraput, and Kandhamal districts of Odisha.
According to the IMD warning, dense fog will blanket the three mentioned districts for the next two days. This will affect the visibility and traffic movements in the Sundargarh, Koraput, and Kandhamal districts. Residents are advised to exercise caution while commuting, especially during early morning hours.
Meanwhile, the cold wave conditions have intensified in some places of the state as temperature has dropped by 2-3 degrees. The minimum temperature has dropped below 10 degrees Celsius in 10 cities of the state in the last 24 hours. Semiliguda has become the coldest place in the state with temperature at 5.7 degrees celsius.
The IMD has also predicted dry weather to prevail over Odisha during this period.
