Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday arrested the main accused involved in Dhauli gang-rape case from Bhubaneswar.
The accused has been identified as Satyaprakash Hati alias Happy. He had been absconding after committing the crime. He had applied for bail.

On being informed about his whereabouts in Bhubaneswar, the police arrested him and will be produced in the court today.
Note-worthy, a 17-year-old was gangraped on the Daya riverbank under the Dhauli police station limits when she had gone to the area along with her male friend on December 10. A group of three miscreants reportedly attacked her friend him with sharp objects and stones and allegedly gangraped the girl.
The matter came to the light only after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint on the following day. Based on which, police initiated an investigation and arrested two accused persons.
