Bhubaneswar: Merely a few days after the Dhauli incident, a minor girl has once again been gangraped by two miscreants in a hotel in Saheed Nagar here. The two accused has been arrested by the Commissionerate police. The incident has shocked the entire state one again.
According to reports, a 17-year-old minor girl was called to Bhubaneswar on pretext of dating by one of the accused, who is the victim claimed is her boyfriend. Then he lured the victim to the hotel room in Saheed Nagar to meet his friend. Then the two accused allegedly sexually assaulted the minor in the hotel room.
The incident took place on December 18 around 2:00 PM, said police sources. The victim managed to escape and lodged a complaint at Saheed Nagar Police Station late on December 19.
Acting swiftly on the FIR, the Commissionerate Police registered a case and arrested both the suspects, who were produced before the court on the same day.
A forensic team was also dispatched to the crime scene, where evidence was meticulously collected to aid the ongoing investigation.
