Chandbali: A devastating fire broke out in Chhatrapada village under Narendrapur Panchayat in Tihidi Block of Bhadrak district in Odisha late last night, leaving a trail of destruction. The fire gutted 10 rooms belonging to 7 families, destroying their homes and belongings.
As per the information received, the blaze also claimed the lives of 10 cows, more than hundred goats, and burnt over 100 bags of paddy, dealing a severe blow to the victim families’ livelihood.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
After getting information about the mishap, the fire brigade team rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames, preventing further damage.
Authorities are yet to assess the total loss, but the families are reeling under the impact.
The sudden disaster has left many families homeless and struggling to cope with the loss of their loved animals and crops.
