CM Kanya Vivah Yojana soon in Odisha, beneficiaries to get Rs. 51 thousand

 Bhubaneswar: The CM Kanya Vivah Yojana will start soon in Odisha. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Utkaliki and the Women and Child Development Department for the supply of wedding gifts in this regard.


Under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana, girls will get accessories like sarees, paunji, bindi etc.

The government will provide all these items to the beneficiaries through Utkalika. This will also give a boost to the handicraft sector of Odisha.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida. The government will provide a total of Rs 51,000 in assistance under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana. Rs 35,000 will be transferred to the beneficiary’s account 7 days after the marriage registration. The government will provide Rs 10,000 for gifts and Rs 6,000 for accessories.
