New Delhi: Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, face of the Operation Sindoor briefing against Pakistan last year was responsible for sharing day-to-day information of all the strikes that was carried out during the Operation Sindoor, has been conferred in Vishisht Seva Medal for his various acts of gallantry displayed in anti-terrorist operations and distinguished service.
A total of 85 personnel has received the Vishisht Seva Medals by President Droupadi Murmu this year, Acknowledging exceptional courage and sacrifice of the armed forces which will be facilitated on the eve of the 77th Republic Day.
Senior Army Officer, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi has not only led the briefing but has also been recognized for her professionalism and leadership, will be rewarded for her consistency in the demanding assignments that she was assigned for and her unforgettable in strengthening operational preparedness.
Vishisht Seva Medal recognizes exceptional, non-operational and peacetime services and is awarded to those personnel who have ranks in all the Indian Armed Forces including the Territorial Army, Reserve Forces, and Nursing Services, and for distinguished service of a high order.
