In hilly areas, temperatures are above 10 degrees everywhere except G. Udayagiri in Kandhamal district, where it dipped to 9 degrees. Light fog was observed in Bhawanipatna over the last 24 hours.
For the next three days, no major fluctuations in nighttime temperatures are anticipated. Following this, temperatures are likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees. Over the next seven days, the state’s weather is expected to remain stable, with no warnings issued for rain or severe cold.
A forecast for light fog has been issued for various districts until the morning of February 8. Specifically, on Thursday morning, light fog is predicted in Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, and Sundargarh districts. Additionally, fog alerts are in place for multiple districts from February 6 to 9 mornings. Director Mohanty has urged commuters to exercise caution and ensure safe travel during foggy conditions.
