One-Side Love Behind Spy Camera In Jagatsinghpur DRDA Washroom: Police

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking case that has caused outrage, police have arrested a junior clerk of the Jagatsinghpur District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) for allegedly installing a hidden camera in the women’s washroom of the office.

Superintendent of Police Ankit Verma addressed a press conference and revealed disturbing details of the incident.

The accused, identified as Sanjay Adekha, a junior clerk at DRDA, installed the spy camera after a female employee rejected his one-sided affection.

According to the SP, the accused ordered the hidden camera online in January after watching a video on YouTube. He installed the device in the women’s washroom in March. Police said Adekha used to charge the camera once a week and then reinstall it. He allegedly watched the footage on his mobile phone.

Tirtol police arrested Sanjay Adekha on Saturday. During the raid, police seized the hidden camera, a mobile phone, a pen drive, and a CCTV hard disk from his possession. The District Collector has suspended him from service with immediate effect.

SP Ankit Verma stated that after his arrest, the accused expressed remorse, apologized to the police and the Zilla Parishad President, and requested to be released.

The case has been registered at Tirtol Police Station, and further investigation is underway. Police are examining the seized devices to determine if the footage was shared or stored elsewhere.
