Bhanjanagar: In a shocking discovery, the skull of an unknown human being was found hanging with a cloth tied on a tree and skeletons laying on the ground in the dense forests of Ganjam district of Odisha.
According to sources, the incident came to light in Baghmara hill forest of Jirambha village under the jurisdiction of Bhanjanagar police station.
On getting the information about it, police immediately reached the spot, seized the human skull and skeletons and sent to the Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (FMT) department in Berhampur for examination and verification of the remains.
Police claimed that some evidence were found on the spot which indicates to identify the skeleton is possible related to some missing person complaint lodged on June 9 about a man from Mahulapalli village of Birikot in Ganjam district.
However, till now nothing has been confirmed officially.
