Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation over North Bay of Bengal off West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts. According to the IMD, the system formed at 5:30 AM today (August 23).
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely to prevail over Northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and along and off West Bengal and adjoining Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coasts till August 24.
