OTET exams postponed due to alleged question paper leak, see details

Bhubaneswar: The board authorities have postponed the OTET exam due to the question paper being allegedly leaked. According to reports, the question paper is said to have been leaked from the place where it was printed.

Further it has been reported that, someone drew the attention of the Minister of School and Mass Education in this regard. The Minister of the Department ordered an investigation into the matter to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).

However, after the leaked question paper matched the original question paper, the Board of Secondary Education was forced to postpone the special OTET scheduled for today. It is worth mentioning here that, Srikant Tarai, the President of the Board of Secondary Education, informed the media in this regard late last night.

This special OTET exam was to be held across the state today. This OTET exam was for the teachers working in the state. 75,000 teachers would have appeared for this exam. The exam would have been held in two sittings, Paper 1 and Paper 2.

However due to the alleged question paper leak it has been postponed.

The notice of the BSE on the OTET exams being postponed read as follows, “The Special OTET-2025 (Paper-I and Paper-II) which has been scheduled to be held on 20.07.2025 is hereby postponed until further notification.”
