Gunupur: In a tragic bus accident, at least 8 passengers sustained injury in Rayagada district of Odisha at about 2 am in the mid-night yesterday. The accident took place near the Gumma Ghati road.
As per reports, the Golden Rock private bus was on its way to Jeypore of Koraput district from Gunupur. When it was passing the Gumma Ghati, the bus skidded from the road and the bus hit a roadside tree.
Accordingly, as many as 8 passengers of the private bus sustained injury. They were rescued and sent to the District Headquarters hospital.
After getting information, Kumbikata Police reached the spot and initiated investigation.
