Bhubaneswar: Three-tier security cover for the monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly, 30 platoons of police force will be deployed. DG Y B Khurania inspected the security arrangements in the Assembly.
It is worth mentioning here that, the Commissioner of Police, Director of Intelligence and the DG of Law and Order also reviewed the security arrangements. Security arrangements have been taken to prevent the protesters from entering the Assembly premises.
Along with the three-tier security arrangements, the Assembly will be under CCTV surveillance. As many as five temporary control rooms have been set up. 150 officers have been deployed for duty.
In addition to this for the Odisha assembly security, the bomb disposal squad, dog squad and firefighting team has also be deployed. Drones will keep an eye on the protesters in Lower PMG. Anti-combat vehicles will also be deployed around the perimeter of the Assembly.
The Speaker of the Odisha Assembly has sought the cooperation of all parties in the all-party meeting for the smooth running of the house. The opposition parties of BJD and Congress met and prepared a strategy. The monsoon session of the Assembly will be held from today till the September 25, this includes a total of seven working days.
