Crime Branch arrests 117 candidates and 2 brokers in Police SI exam scam

 Berhampur:The Crime Branch has taken major action in Police SI exam scam. As many as 117 candidates and 2 brokers were arrested. The Crime Branch has arrested them after interrogation.

According to information, scam of Rs 29.25 crore has come to light in this police SI scam. Allegedly, Rs 10 lakh was collected from each of the 117 arrested candidates.


According to information, the police SI exam to be held in the state has been postponed. The SI exam was to be held on October 5 and 6. The exam date will be announced later. The exam has been postponed after allegations of bribery and irregularities came to light.

The big thing is that the board was alerted after the Berhampur police caught 120 candidates from Srikakulam, Andhra. These 120 candidates were being taken to Hyderabad before the exam.

After receiving information, Police caught them in Srikakulam and brought them to Berhampur for interrogation. It was reported that the organization responsible for the examination was taking them for cheating. After this, a helpline number was also issued by the board. This number was issued for transparency in all CPSE-2024 examinations. OPRB requested to report their complaints on number 9040493223. But soon after, it announced the postponement of the examination.
