Diwali Stall Inaugurated by ORMAS in Phulbani

Phulbani: On the occasion of the festival of lights, Diwali, a special Diwali stall has been set up by ORMAS Kandhamal in Phulbani. The stall was inaugurated on Friday by the District Collector, Bedabhushan, who attended as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, the Collector urged the public to purchase terracotta and handicraft items from the stall to support the economic development of local artisans.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Shambhunath Nandi; Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ORMAS, Gundicha Behera; Project Administrator of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Phulbani, Gadadhar Patra; Deputy Director of Horticulture, Smita Mahanti; and Executive Officer of Phulbani Municipality, Samaresh Mahanti. Other district-level officials, staff, and local media representatives were also present.

The stall showcases and sells products such as clay diyas, chandua, terracotta items, and other Diwali-related goods crafted by the Maa Mangala Self-Help Group and Kanak Durga Producers’ Group from Barkhama in Baliguda block, Phulbani. The stall will remain open until October 21.
