Bhubaneswar: The lawyer Pitabas Panda murder case has made an important development as the police have reportedly arrested the main accused from Bihar.
According to sources, two accomplices of the prime accused who is also the sharp shooter have also been detained by the police. Out of the two accomplices, one of them helped the main accused flee with a motorcycle, meanwhile, the other one had reiki earlier.
However, it is not clear whether the main accused has been arrested as some sources indicated that the police has only detained the accomplices.
According to reports, Pitavas Panda was shot dead by miscreants near his house on Kumar Purnima, which fell on October 6. Two bike born assailants came and fired at him from close range. He was rushed to the MKCG Medical College in bloodied state where the doctor declared him brought dead.
The postmortem report of Pitabas Panda was revealed a few days ago. The report revealed that Pitabas was shot with a 9 MM pistol. A 9 millimeter bullet was logged in his spine which was retrieved later. Moreover, the autopsy report also revealed that the bullet had severed a vital blood vessel. The report stated that Pitavas died due to excessive bleeding.
