Bhubaneswar: Like every year, this year too, the burning of Ravana effigy (Ravana Podi) was organized at different locations of the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar including the Baramunda ground.
As a special attraction, a 70-foot tall Ravana effigy was burnt at the Baramunda grounds in Bhubaneswar. Despite the rain, though there was probability whether Ravana Podi could be arranged or not, the committee has successfully executed the ‘Ravana Podi’.
Today, on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Ravana burning is being organized at various places in the capital city.
