Phulbani : The second DISHA meeting of Kandhamal district was held at the District Council Conference Hall in Phulbani, under the chairmanship of MP Sukanta Kumar Panigrahi. The meeting was attended by Phulbani MLA Umacharan Mallik, Baliguda MLA Chakramani Kanhar, G. Udayagiri MLA Prafulla Chandra Pradhan, District Collector Ved Bhushan, and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nandini Mallik, among others.
During the meeting, the dignitaries reviewed the progress of various welfare schemes implemented in the district, including those related to education, health, agriculture, communication, irrigation, forestry, and social security.
MP Sukanta Kumar Panigrahi and the MLAs urged officials to ensure that government welfare schemes effectively reach the grassroots level and benefit the common people.
The meeting concluded with Collector Ved Bhushan extending a vote of thanks to all the members and participants.
Officials present included District Chief Development Officer Sambhunath Nandi, Additional Executive Officer Narendra Nayak, all Block Chairpersons, and Block Development Officers (BDOs) from across the district.
