Cuttack: In a rare sighting, a 12-foot-long crocodile was spotted in the Mahanadi River in Cuttack, Odisha on Friday morning. The huge reptile was seen basking on a sandbank in the river in Mundali, Barang.
As per the received information, passersby reportedly spotted the crocodile and alerted others, drawing a crowd to the scene.
The sighting has sparked fear among locals and commuters, who are urging the authorities to take immediate action to capture the reptile.
This isn’t an isolated incident, as crocodiles have been spotted in the Mahanadi River before, with some instances reported near the Madhusudan Setu.
