Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous house searches today, targeting locations linked to Nihar Ranjan Sarkar, Junior Engineer, Malkangiri Block, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA).
According to Odisha Vigilance, raids are being conducted at four locations in Malkangiri and Nabarangapur districts today.
The search operation is being led by four DSPs, seven inspectors, and other supporting staff, armed with search warrants issued by the Honourable Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.
The locations being searched include Sarkar’s residential triple-storeyed building at Jayanagar, Malkangiri Town; his paternal house at MPV-10 under Kalimela police station in Malkangiri; the house of his relative at Raighar in Nabarangapur; and his office chamber in the office of the BDO, Malkangiri.
The search is going on.
