Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to forester in Koraput in connection with allegations of amassing disproportionate assets. The forester has been identified as Niranjan Satapathy.
Vigilance sources said the searches were carried out following inputs suggesting that the assets allegedly owned by Niranjan were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar. Vigilance teams launched coordinated raids at 5 places in Bhubaneswar, Jagatsinghpur and Koraput districts.
The operation is being led by six DSPs, seven Inspectors, and other supporting staff.
The locations where searches are underway includes one triple storeyed building located on plot No. 408/2390/ 6388, Jharpada, Bhubaneswar. One triple storeyed building located on plot No. 408/2390/ 6274, Jharpada, Bhubaneswar, parental house at Bila, Mukundapur village in Jagatsinghpur, government quarter at Semliguda under forest division in Koraput and his office at Semliguda under forest division in Koraput
