10-foot-long python rescued from Keonjhar village

 Anandapur: A massive 10-foot-long python was rescued from a village in the Keonjhar district of Odisha on Sunday. The huge reptile was found near the Kundeshwar Temple in Katukuna village under Anandpur block of the district.

As per the information received, the locals first spotted the reptile near the temple. They got frightened and immediately informed the forest department about it.


After getting information, the forest department team swung into action and reached the spot along with all their gears to catch the snake. After working for some time they managed to rescue the snake.

Upon observation it was found that the snake was a 10 foot long python.

The Forest department officials took the snake along with them and later released it into the Atei forest at a deserted place.

The swift response of the Forest Department averted any potential danger to humans and ensured the snake’s safety.
