Balugan : A minor boy has gone missing in Khorda district of Odisha on Sunday. The shirt and sleeper of the missing boy have been recovered from near the Belpada pond, close to the Balugan bypass on the National Highway no. 16.
The deceased boy has been identified as Chinmay Parida of Jhintikapali village under Banapur Police limits.
As per sources, Chinmay had gone out with five of his friends for a feast yesterday and did not return home. Later, his slippers and shirt were found near Belapada pond. Despite extensive search operations, no clue about his whereabouts has been found.
Following a complaint lodged by the boy’s mother at Banapur police station, Balugaon police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Two of the minor’s friends have been detained for questioning.
The exact cause behind the incident is still unclear. Police are investigating the matter from all possible angles. The investigation is underway.
