Dhenkanal: At least four workers were feared to be dead in a deadly blast at a stone quarry near Gopalpur village under Motanga police station limits in Dhenkanal district. The explosion occurred on Saturday.
According to preliminary reports, all four deceased workers conducting the routine quarrying work when the blast occurred. The powerful explosion proved fatal for the four of them and killed them on the spot.
on being informed about the incident, the Odapada Tehcildar and Motanga police rushed to the site and has initiated the preliminary investigation.
As of the latest reports, it is not yet clear whether there are more casualties or injuries. Rescue and verification efforts are underway.
