Kuchinda: A tourist drowned to death while bathing in a waterfall near the Mukteswar temple in Jamakira block of Sambalpur district of Odisha on Saturday.
According to sources, the tourist was identified as Balaji Ganesh Kumar Subramanayam from Tamil Nadu. He had come to visit the famous Shiva temple in Sambalpur district and died after he slipped while bathing in the waterfall near the temple.
He was rescued from the waterfall and rushed to Kuchinda Hospital. However, the attending doctor declared him dead there.
The Jamankira police has started investigating the case.
