Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik today suspended two MLAs Arvind Mohapatra and Sanatan Mahakud from the party.
As per an order issued by Patnaik, both Arvind Mohapatra, MLA and Sanatan Mahakud have been suspended from the conch party with immediate effect for their involvement in antiparty activities.
“Shri Arvind Mohapatra, MLA and Shri Sanatan Mahakud, MLA are hereby suspended from Biju Janata Dal with immediate effect for their involvement in antiparty activities,” read the BJD supremo’s official order.
While Arvind Mohapatra is the MLA of Patkura Vidhan Sabha constituency of Kendrapara, Sanatan Mahakud is Champua MLA.
Meanwhile, in his reaction to the media persons over the suspension, Arvind informed that he is yet to ascertain the exact reason behind his suspension and analyse it.
When asked about his next course of action and joining any political party, the Patkura MLA mentioned that it is too early for him to take any such decision.
