Bangiriposhi: In a bizarre incident, a youth died after accidentally swallowing a live fish in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The shocking incident has taken place in Bangiriposhi.
On the other hand, the family of the deceased has alleged medical negligence for the death.
The deceased has been identified as Abinash Bijuli of Dighi village.
As per reports, Abinash was fishing in the village pond when he was trying to bite a live fish in his mouth. However, due to carelessness, the fish slipped into his mouth and stuck in his trachea for a long time. Accordingly, he turned critical.
After knowing about this his family member rushed Abinash to Bangiriposhi Community Health Center in a serious condition. However, he ultimately succumbed to the ailment.
Following his death, the family members have alleged that the doctor did not come to attend the patient despite repeated requests. It is alleged that Abinash died due to lack of timely treatment.
There was a stir in the local area following the death.
