Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Thursday approved an amendment to the Odisha District and Civil Courts’ Non-Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008, creating a promotional channel for Group-D employees to become Junior Clerks.
The move aims to improve administrative efficiency in district and civil courts, ensure balanced representation in the non-judicial cadre, and enable faster filling of vacancies. Officials said the amendment will help address long-pending staff shortages, reduce case pendency, and ensure smooth functioning of court work.
