Balasore: In an unfortunate incident, a grieving family halted the funeral rites and took the body of a 14-year-old to the Hospital for post-mortem in Balasore.
The deceased minor was son of Kishor Rana of Patana village under Nilgiri police limits of Balasore district.
As per sources, the minor boy suddenly fell ill while playing. He was immediately rushed to Nilgiri Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment, where he died while undergoing treatment in the evening.
Later, the family brought the body back to their village to prepare for his final rites. Some relatives had noticed froth was coming out of his mouth and nose before he died and they immediately suggested to request for a forensic investigation.
Meanwhile, the autopsy is being at the hospital, the family has filed a written complaint with the Nilagiri police station.
Such actions by the hospital authorities have come to light. It is a matter of concern that how the body was sent home without any cause of death.
