Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale, today paid a courtesy call on Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Lok Sabha Bhawan.
During the meeting, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister held detailed discussions on various issues related to social justice and empowerment in the state.
Majhi assured the Union Minister that the Odisha government would maintain complete coordination with the Central Government in all public welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening the social security system.
Highlighting the steps being taken by the state, Chief Minister Majhi informed Athawale about key social security measures. These include the inclusion of an additional six lakh beneficiaries under the Madhu Babu Pension Scheme and the provision of an extra 5 kg of rice to beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Annapurna Scheme.
