Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall over Khordha district including Bhubaneswar city and Cuttack district (including Cuttack city).
According to the warning issued at 10:45 am on Friday, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and wind speed reaching up to 40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over Khordha and Cuttack within the next three hours.
The IMD has advised people to remain alert and keep a close watch on the weather for any worsening conditions. Residents are advised to stay indoors during the thunderstorm and avoid taking shelter under trees.
