Bhubaneswar: BJD president and former Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday outlined the role of the party’s newly formed media cell in strengthening its outreach across the state and asked its members to effectively communicate the party’s programmes and views on public issues.
Patnaik held a meeting with the newly formed media cell coordination team at Naveen Niwas, where he discussed organisational priorities and the party’s communication strategy.
He asked the members to use electronic, print and social media platforms effectively to communicate the BJD’s programmes, activities and positions on issues concerning the people of Odisha.
Party leaders said the media cell would focus on engaging with people on issues affecting the state and highlighting the BJD’s stand on governance and public welfare matters.
The meeting also discussed plans to expand the party’s communication network and improve coordination among its media teams.
Several senior leaders entrusted with responsibilities in the media cell attended the meeting, including Sanjay Das Burma, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Pratap Jena, Gautam Buddha Das, Pranab Balabantray, Lenin Mohanty, Priyabrata Majhi, Swayam Prakash Mohapatra and Amaresh Patri.
