Karanjia: The people of Odisha are experiencing bone chilling cold as temperature continues to drop in various places. Mayurbhanj is shivering under the effect of the intense cold wave as the minimum temperature has hit as low as 2 degrees Celsius. Especially, the villages near the Shimlipal forest are experiencing bone-chilling cold.
According to latest reports, the temperature in Uppera Barakamuda of Shimlipal National Park has been recorded at 2 degrees Celsius. Following this is the Chahala, which has recorded a minimum temperature of 4 Degrees Ceksius after that the mercury has dropped to 6 degrees in Gudigudiya, and 7 degrees in Bareipani.
Meanwhile, the bone-chilling has affected the normal life of people as it has become difficult to leave the warmth of home. People were seen huddling in front of fire places to escape the cold.
Kandhamal is also shivering in the cold. The entire district is in the grip of dense fog due to the cold. It is becoming difficult to leave the house before 10 am.
