Kendrapada: Bhitarkanika National Park will remain closed to tourists for three days as the annual saltwater crocodile census has started in the wildlife sanctuary from today, Thursday.
All entry of tourists has been prohibited into the park from January 8 to 10 while forest officials conduct the intensive survey.
The census is being carried out across rivers, creeks, and water bodies within the park, overseen by 24 teams of the Rajnagar Forest Division.
The park will reopen for tourists after the census is completed
