Digapahandi: A youth turned critical after 3 members of his family were attacked in the Ganjam district of Odisha yesterday night. The incident took place in the Narasinghpur village under Gokarnapur Panchayat in Digapahandi area.
The identity of the victims are yet to be ascertained.
As per the information received, a few miscreants came to the house of the victims yesterday night and attacked the youth. Seeing their son is being thrashed by the miscreants his father and mother intervened to rescue. As a result, the miscreants attacked all of them and fled the scene.
The miscreants are said to be from a nearby village while the cause of the attack is said to be business enmity.
Following the attack, the three were rushed to Digapahandi hospital. However, as the health condition of the youth further deteriorated, he has been shifted to the MKCG hospital in Berhampur for further treatment.
Police have started investigation of the matter and further probe of the case is underway.
