Deogarh: A newlywed woman was found hanging at Rajamunda village under Barkote police station limits in Deogarh district on Wednesday, prompting police to detain her husband and initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The deceased has been identified as Manita Ranga of Sapagadia village under Rasagobindapur police station limits in Mayurbhanj district. She had married Satya Ranjan Jena on March 11 this year, approximately three months and six days ago.
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
The husband of the deceased, Satya Ranjan Jena, has been detained for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
