During his visit to Mayurbhanj, the DGP assessed security and law-and-order measures and directed officials to ensure flawless implementation of all VVIP security protocols. He stressed the need for close coordination among security agencies and personnel to prevent any lapses during the President’s tour.

Khurania inspected the public meeting venue in Rairangpur sub-division, the helipad, carcade routes and other sensitive locations earmarked for the visit. Anticipating a large turnout at the public event, he instructed officials to strengthen crowd management measures, streamline entry and exit arrangements and reinforce overall security deployment.

The DGP also visited the President’s place of stay and her ancestral village, where he reviewed security plans and held discussions with concerned officials regarding the arrangements.

To minimise inconvenience to the public during the VVIP movement, Khurania directed authorities to prepare a comprehensive traffic management plan and route chart to ensure smooth movement while causing minimal disruption to daily activities.

He further asked district police officials to intensify intelligence gathering, enhance patrolling across the district and maintain strict surveillance on any suspicious activities in the run-up to the visit.
