Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Monday announced the cancellation of two Shatabdi Express services operating between Puri and Howrah on June 16, 2026 (tomorrow), citing the delay of a linking train.
According to ECoR, Train No. 12278 Puri–Howrah Shatabdi Express and Train No. 12277 Howrah–Puri Shatabdi Express will remain cancelled on the said date due to operational constraints caused by the late running of the connecting service.
The disruption is expected to affect passengers travelling on the high-speed corridor between Odisha and West Bengal, particularly during peak travel hours.
ECoR has advised passengers to take note of the cancellations and make alternative travel arrangements accordingly. Travellers have also been urged to check updated train status through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or official railway enquiry channels before commencing their journey.
