Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, has issued a nowcast warning of thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain in 13 districts of Odisha over the next three hours.
According to the Yellow Message, wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Subarnapur (Sonepur), Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Boudh, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.
The Met Centre has advised people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from thunderstorm and lightning strikes.
The nowcast warning has been communicated to all concerned departments by the Duty Officer, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
