Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Odisha, scheduled for July 4, has been cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions and widespread heavy rainfall across the state.
According to information shared by Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit, the visit has been called off keeping in view the prevailing bad weather and deteriorating weather conditions. Shah was scheduled to land at Jharsuguda airport on July 4 and visit Bargarh district. He was expected to inaugurate Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) Rs 1,775-crore second-generation (2G) ethanol plant in Bargarh district, and participate in a series of official programmes. However, all programmes have been cancelled in view of the prevailing bad weather.
MP Pradeep Purohit stated that the programmes will be rescheduled once weather conditions improve.
